Kay Bojesen Dog Tim Light
Kay Bojesen Dog Tim Light by Rosendahl
Kay Bojesen's intention was never to create exact replicas of wildlife, but rather to produce animals whose designs reflected a child's view of animals. His creations, designed between 1930s-50s, were to be based on simple, beautiful shapes, tactile materials and should inspire imaginative play. Thus his charming menagerie of solid, tactile designs took shape. Fulfilling Bojesen's dream, his playful collection of animals and figurines, now produced by the respected Danish Rosendahl Group, have become treasured classics throughout the world.
Kay Bojesen is known to have created numerous dogs during his long career and his design for Tim the terrier dates from 1935. Tim has come back this season to charm us once again with his lovable tilting head and moveable tail - his diminutive size does nothing to diminish his expressive prsonality. Available in either light or smoked oak, this tiny dog looks very much at home standing alongside Bojesen's other wooden animals, but would also make a perfect smaller starting point for a child's collection. Beautifully packaged, this is an ideal gift for a newborn or Christening.
