Stelton Emma Electric Kettle Grey
Design by HolmbäckNordentoft
Drawing inspiration from the 1950s and 60 - the golden age of Danish design - Danish homewares brand Stelton has created the Danish Modern range, a celebration of the great era, re-interpreted for the modern home. Every piece in the collection reflects the Scandinavian design aesthetic with a focus on top level design, functionality and aesthetics. The Emma Electric Kettle is no exception. The white stainless steel kettle with a curved beech handle is both minimalist and good looking. Boasting a 1.2 Litre capacity, a concealed element, dry-boil protection and a removable limescale filter, the kettle also includes a 360 degree swivel base and double wall insulation.
A partnership between two Danish friends over 50 years ago was the start of what has since become one of Denmark’s most recognisable and highly respected design brands. From its earliest days, Stelton collaborated with experienced designers to develop a range of innovative but functional tableware designs which would not only stand the test of time, but would also become international design classics. Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda Line Teapot and Erik Magnussen’s EM77 Vacuum Jug can be found in the homes and offices of design lovers all over the world, and the products are still being produced and refined for today’s market. Staying true to four key design principles – simplicity, timelessness, functionality and innovation – Stelton has been able to survive and indeed to flourish. A respect for quality – both physical and aesthetic – and for Scandinavian design heritage has been supported with a conscious effort to innovate and look to the future, keeping classic designs fresh and adapted for the modern world.
